Turnford played their first Div 2 Regional League last Saturday against Star from Essex. This was a home match for Turnford playing at Goffs Sports Hall. This was the first regional match that some ofthe Turnford players had taken part in. The first quarter saw a nervous approach by the Turnford side to this standard of netball and they went down in the first quarter 9-10. The coach, Carole Titmuss, introduced new defence Claudia Masucci to the court. Her tight defending and continual interceptions turned the game in Turnford’s favour, putting the half time score at 25-14.

The whole squad gelled together allowing the accurate passing from wing attack Chloe Darcy to feed well into the circle, where shooter Amy Dean had an almost 100% shooting accuracy, for which she was voted by both Star and Turnford as Player of the Match. Turnford ran out winners 47-26.

The squad consisted of: Natalie Richardson, Claudia Masucci, Kathryn Titmuss, Chloe Darcy, Adele Cole, Rachel Jakeman and Amy Dean.
